I quite liked it and would recommend it for fairy-tale readers and fantasy romance readers. The magic is very light-weight.

The YA fantasy genre has exploded in the past decade, while realistic “problem” novels, once the staple of YA, have faded into the background.

Is a young British wizard responsible? Are young readers, living in such serious and scary times, eager to escape into a fantastic other world? Or is fantasy just more fun to read?
